SPREAD THE WORD!

Monday, November 15th, 2010

As we gear up to give thanks for all we have this holiday season, we are reminded of those who have less. This week is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, a nationwide effort to bring greater awareness to the problems of hunger and homelessness. Here are two simple ways to do your part.

1)      Write a Review:  Great Nonprofits has launched the 2010 Food & Shelter Campaign, in partnership with GuideStar to recognize organizations that are fighting hunger and homelessness in our communities. If Union Station Homeless Services receives 10 positive reviews by November 30, we will be included on the Top-Rated Food & Shelter Nonprofits List!

Please help Union Station by visiting www.greatnonprofits.org/organizations/reviews/union-station-homeless-services and letting everyone know why you support Union Station!

2)      Host a pledge-a-thon: It’s so easy! Just visit our Pledge-a-thon site to register and set up your own fundraising page. Then tell your friends, family, coworkers and classmates that you are part of the solution to ending homelessness in your community and ask them to support your pledge-a-thon. (Remind them that no donation is too small!) Any Questions? Please email giving@unionstationsh.org or call (626) 240-4557. The top fundraiser wins an iPad!
