SOURCES CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Employment is essential on the road to independence. Sources gives homeless and very low-income adults the skills, confidence, and motivation they need to achieve self-sufficiency and career advancement. It is the only program in Pasadena that provides career development services exclusively for very low-income and homeless people.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
  • Career Development Workshops, which help participants identify
    their skills, complete resumes, effectively use job search resources
    and prepare for job interviews.
  • Job serch resources, such as computers, phones, fax machines, clothing and financial assistance for haircuts, ID cards, and transportation.
  • One-on-one career counseling, including job search assistance and job leads.
  • Ongoing support, including job retention and career advancement support. Alumni return to receive educational and career counseling, and to attend out monthly alumni meetings.
PROGRAM FACTS
  • More than 125 people participate in Sources' 10-day career
    development workshops each year.
  • All workshop graduates receive one-on-one counseling, use of our
    computer resource center, and job leads.
  • 60% of workshop graduates secure employment within 90 days of graduation.
  • Last year 185 program graduates participated in Sources’ Alumni group.

our alumni meetings and share your professional experience with our
job seekers, please contact our Alumni Coordinator at 626.240.4550. Alumni meetings take place on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at 825 E. Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena, CA.
