| Facilities Manager |
SUMMARY:
The Facilities Manager provides general oversight of all Union Station facilities, coordinates maintenance and repairs, handles routine maintenance, and sets up and schedules preventive maintenance plans. Provides supervision for all Facilities staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and administer repair and maintenance procedures for buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
- Serve as liaison for Union Station partnership projects for repairs and maintenance matters.
- Coordinate selection of outside vendors for repair and maintenance services.
- Negotiate maintenance and repair contracts with vendors.
- Develop and maintain emergency safety and security procedures for all USHS locations.
- Coordinate OSHA compliance polices and evaluations.
- Provide oversight for USHS transportation department, including verification of driver records for all drivers of USHS vehicles, scheduling organization transportation schedules and special transportation program needs.
- Coordinate building, grounds, and public areas improvements.
- Provide source data to assist with the development of annual facilities budgets.
- Prepare materials as needed for facilities committee.
- Supervise Facilities Staff and ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with position descriptions and established procedures.
- Assess employee performance and prepare annual performance reviews of staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of commercial building equipment relating to interior and exterior operations of utilities, electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
- Requires exposure to irritating fluids, solids, or atmospheric conditions.
- Able to work on weekends and to respond to on-call requests.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints, prioritize work, multi-task, and adapt to changing work demands.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, outside vendors, and public utility agencies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of related experience in facilities management.
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
